Laurie Thorpe

Laurence Thorpe is our State Manager for Western Australia. He has over 35 years in the hospitality industry, operating a number of different restaurant concepts throughout Australia, the UK and the Middle East.

Now based in Perth, Laurie has built a remarkable team to build the WA business from scratch to include the most recent opening on 6 HEAD at Elizabeth Quay. He also has comprehensive knowledge of the local market across competitors, landlords and vendors and the broader business community network throughout Western Australia.

Laurie has a reputation for his ability to attract talented people, develop strong teams and create opportunities for individuals within the industry, across brands within Seagrass as well as in the greater hospitality community.

Laurie has also consulted to a variety of National Operators throughout his career on the basis of his depth of operational experience, local market knowledge and people network.
